|I have heard people say,
“Oh, my father is so great,
He buys me shoes, frocks & skirts,
Without letting me wait.
But is a father only meant to buy us things?
Is he no more important than getting us bags and rings?
I took this question to,
the mighty lord so great,
He gave me an answer,
So simple and so straight.
A father is a person,
Who’s there to always give his hand,
All the love and care in life,
A promise to keep us away from dust & sand.
He shades us from all troubles,
Tells us what’s wrong or right,
He makes us understand,
And teaches us how to fight.
He tells us interesting stories,
When we can’t sleep at night,
He plays with us and cares a lot,
Helps us to achieve our goals so bright.
Now I understand,
What makes my father be called “so great”,
He is so important,
The perfect friend and mate.
